Budget Analysis

I
Irene Lee 👤 Member for 13 years 6 months

Dear All,

I'm new to Project Controls and just started my job as a PC Engineer at a small construction company. My manager asked me to do a budget analysis (we are still in Design Development) so I really don't know what he means by budget analysis as to me you analyze actual vs the baseline. But there's no actual budget as we are still in the Design Phase and the budget I have is for construction phase.

Could anyone please share their ideas regarding that?

I would really appreciate any input..

Thank you so much!

O
Olivia RSA 👤 Member for 14 years 9 months

Hi Guys

We are on a piping job using fidic and we are suffering huge delays due to reworking the pipe bedding up to 7 times sometimes due to rain.Ripping it all out etc.Our contract states rain EOT will be calculated using annual rainfall figures and extreme rainfall will be compensated using the usual formula which Is pretty straight fwd

Have any of you worked on a piping project using fidic, who is liable for the rework of bedding we are losing weeks at a time even with small sections

Thanks in advance

Meeting minutes, Issues, Risks, Agreements, Actions, Projects Tracking tool

E
Evgeny Z. 👤 Member for 18 years 4 months

Dear all,

During the last big project I was running I was looking for a tool, which would from one side help me to track Issues, Risks, Agreements, Actions from the other side would allow me to generate professionally looking meeting minutes reports. My requirement was that if during a meeting the changes would be made to  Issues, Risks, Agreements, Actions then these changes would automatically be inserted in a body of a meeting minutes report.

Why to track Issues, Risks, Agreements, Actions as a part of meeting minutes?
