Incompatible project conditions - need help.

Hi all!

On one current project I have on one side - clear and fixed delivery date, and ongoing changes from client (in design, flow etc.) on other side.

So now I have groving scope of work and client that want project to be done by date defined for less scope of work.

I'm new for project management and such situation is like a challenge for me.

How would you deal with such situation?

What can you advice in this case?

Step for preparing EPCC Project Schedule and Monitoring method

Dear all,

Recently I've been assigned to prepare the project schedule for EPCC project for my company.

Before this, I'm only involve in Hook-up & Commissioning project where the schedule and monitoring is kind of straight forward comparing to EPCC project schedule where I need to develop the schedule from Engineering until commissioning process where progress and cost need to be monitor closely.

Activity classification for heavy infrustruction projects

I'm looking for a standard as a base in order to establish an activity classification system for heavy infrustructure works.

The target will be to conect accounts, wbs, reporting and cost control.

I have revies the Masterformat system but it is based mostly for buildings.

From a research i found that there are some other systems like :

Omniclass, Uniclass, NAIS, CAWS, NBS, ASTME256 and others.

Any proposa ?, mainly  i am interest for industrial works, rail, marine etc.

I am not sure yet if a standard is better than a custom one.

Thank you

A Case Study on The Implementation of Quality Function Deployment (QFD) in The Canal Reconstruction along Crude Oil Pipeline in

Changing in scope during construction phase is the most common problems causing project delays among Indonesian contractors. Most of the scope changing is due to poor engagement with customer and to a failure in identifying customers’ needs during project scoping.
