Difference between Project Plan and Work Plan

Guys,

I am new to project management and frequently need to create IT proposal documents for client RFPs with project plan. But recently i was asked to give work plan and then project plan in two different sections of the same RFP, my understanding was they were both the same and every time I get this question it puts me in a swing.

Below is what the client is asking for in their words but the work plan details are asked under the section "Project Approach/Management" and project plan details are asked under the section "Project Plan" :

How do you resolve project team conflicts?

When project team members are at each other's throats, the Project Manager must act fast to resolve. Onboarding new team members is a costly way to go, so communication and resolution is best. I've come up with a logical, 4 step process with a fun acronym...S.L.A.P.

Project Change impacts on KPIs

E
Emma Lang 👤 Member for 9 years 9 months

I have a project which is around 4 months old. The budget was set very early on and I now have KPIs (Planned, Earned, Actuals, SPI / CPI etc) set up which are measured against the baseline of the project. We have identified a number of changes to the baseline scope. These have been agreed by the project team and new hours allocated to the project. The impact to the project can be clearly seen as it is already behind schedule, currently showing an SPI of 0.75!

Standard S Curve - Insert Duration and Total Cost to Predict Cash Flow

Has anyone ever created a standard S curve in which you could then insert a project duration and total budget to predict future cash flow?

I am looking for something very rudimentary, with full understanding that there will be great variance between this "predicted" S curve and actual S curve. The tool would be used in very early stages of a project (precon) to allow Owners to predict what their cash flow ill be months/years down the line. Hope this makes sense.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Issues in calculate the projects completion%

Hi

For example,

Project A have 2 Milestones start in 2017 and 2018

The work in milestone 1 is 100% complete , which is represent the major efoort og the whole project

milestone 2 is actually to do FQA

the point is the system we have consider all milestones as one weight which is not represent the reality.

* I can not use weghts formula because of top management order !

I need to came up with another soluation.
