Work progress at status date

Hello Planners and MSP specialists,

How could it be possible to make MS Project compute the percentage between actual work and theoritical work at the status date?

One 5 day task starting Monday

Two resources assigned to this task: R1 is working 10 hours / day; R2 is working 8 hours / day

Status date is Wednesday night

R1 has worked 10 hours on Monday, 9 on Tuesday, 8 on Wednesday, or 27 hours

R2 has worked 5 hours on Monday, 4 on Tuesday, 3 on Wednesday, or 12 hours

Slippage Lines On Gant Chart

G
Greg Young 👤 Member for 10 years 9 months

Hi

Currently Using MSP 2013

I have noticed that the slippage lines always reflect baseline.

I have chaneged the Slippage to base line 2 by right mouse clicking on the Gant Chart, Show/Hide Bar Styles, Baseline, and checked Baseline 2.

I also went to Format Tab, Slippage and checked Baseline 2.

However none of these work, slippage lines on the Gant always reflect Baseline.

Anyone got any ideas.

Cheers Greg

Formula Help comparing multiple finish dates--Anyone up to the challenge? ;)

I want to create a custum text column that will visually show if a tasks finish dates have been slipping or not by comparing Forecast Finish(Finish) to previous Months Finish (Finish1) and to Last weeks Finish(Finish2).

My thoughts were to use the IIF function in MS project to indicate the following:

How to show actual %complete and planned% complete on MS Project 2013 dashboard report

Z
Zahid Islam 👤 Member for 10 years 6 months

Hello All,

Does anyone know how to show planned% complete on the bar graph for the dashboard report (project overview).  The graph shows % complete (actual % complete) but I want to compare the planned% complete and actual% complete on that graph.  Any suggestions?

P.S. The report is being generated with MS Project 2013.

Outline codes in MSP 2007

R
Ron Beechey 👤 Member for 23 years 11 months

We are currently using 2007 for our shutdowns and have grouped the Outline codes for tasks that are being imported from our CMMS system from work orders created by planners . The codes are alpha and when grouped are not displayed in the order we would like. The codes represent the order of operation from start to finish and when assigned to the task give a geographic representation to were in the process the work will take place.

Two week look ahead for MSP 2010

Z
Zahid Islam 👤 Member for 10 years 6 months

Hello All,

I know this topic has been posted before; however, I was wondering if someone can drill it down for me considering that I am a beginner in MSP 2010 and to Project Management.  Basically, the project schedule has about 700 lines of tasks and activies and I need to get a two week look ahead of tasks:

1) that start on that two week window

2) closes in < 2 weeks (regardless of their start dates and end dates)

3) lists the tasks that are incomplete/late

Flag New Tasks Starting Next Week MSP 2010

L
Lee Wilson 👤 Member for 11 years 6 months

Hi All,

As title suggests I'm looking to implement a new flag to show tasks (excluding group headers) which are due to start the next working week.

I don't want to show any tasks currently in progress, jut new ones starting next working week.

Any ideas ?

Thanks
