Project Controls Assistant - Estimating

• Support the preparation of budget estimates for the plant costs and risks and contingency allowance aspects of proposed projects at all stages of development from business case to award construction contracts.
• Assisting in maintaining and updating the eHub cost database to reflect current costs, including extracting actual cost data from complete projects.

System Administrator: P6 EPPM on-premise (2012 to 2018) & Cloud SaaS (2018-) 

Accountavle for providing trend and cause analysis reports against contractual claims. Provide and demonstrate recommendations and plans for improvements or mitigations in costs where applicable, against NEC and FIDIC contracts. Become a point of contact across key stakeholders for contractor reporting and also contract knowledge. Track and monitor contractoual KPI's and obligations, to ensure contract compliance. Become project support on the successful implementation of the contract administration tool.

Responsible for building individual project plans using Primavera P6, utilising National Grids work breakdown structure. Progressing the programmes each month to ensure they are all monitred for Project Controls reporting. Review contractors tender programmes to ensure they are compliant with the contract data and works information. Implementing approved change requests into the programmes both at development and delivery stages of the programme. Make certain these is alignment between P6 WBS and SAP CBS to allow for accurate earned value reporting.

Lead Programme Planning Engineer at National Grid. Responsible for a portfolio of Electricity Construction Projects.

In the run-up to privatisation, the Settlement II System was developed by NGC to manage the commercial aspects of the Grid operation.

Currently managing the planning portfolio of National Grid Major Works projects including new nuclear & wind farm connections which require Development Consent Orders from the Infrasture Planning Commission.
