Roles and Responsibilities
Part of two-man team responsible for planning & control of all projects in southern Britain, including Earned Value reporting, tracking actual spend at detailed activity level, and resource utilisation forecasts to inform strategic manpower decisions.
I have day to day experience of tender programming my own projects using Microsoft Project, site logistics planning, material take offs, cost calculations, 3D logistic plans, live programme tracking and scheduling, client interviews and presentations. I also have a basic understanding of Asta PowerProject, which I believe I could learn to use proficiently very quickly.
I also have experience of tracking progress of programmes on live construction sites.
I successfully completed a three year graduate management training scheme within Willmott Dixon Construction in which
Senior Planning consultant. Worked on a variety of projects both tender, contract and claims planning. Clients included, Mace, Warings, Rok, Belfinger Berger.
I was the lead Planner for Willmott Dixon Dartford. I was responsible for 3 planners, and carried out tender and site planning. Our main area of experience was the education sector.
Planning Engineer working at the Company’s head office / fabrication facility in Darlington, using Primavera P6 computer systems, with supporting documentation / reports produced using various Microsoft packages in-line with the company’s control system. Working on fabrication, construction and EPC projects.
My experience covers both tender and construction stage planning. I have also fulfilled a dual role of acting as a Design Coordinator.
