Thanks Mike but the data i have been able to find is neither as specific nor as detailed as I would like - generally only annual totals. The best I have found are two charts for Morgan City and Sabine Pass.
I was hoping someone else may have some better data. Again thanks for the response.

Hi Dennis
You are right - a quick google gave no list of hurricne data over the years.
You may want to try:
www.wxresearch.com/outlook/2007hurout.pdf.
which does seem to have some information.
In hindsight it may well be:
www.wxresearch.com/outlook/2007/hurout.pdf.
Give it a try.
Best regards
Mike Testro
PS I have a personal interest in this because my family are flying back from Houston to Norwich International this afternoon.

Hi Dennis
I am sure that NASA at Houston have some sort of predictive software that they can share with you.
Otherwise look at the records of the last 5 years and work out the statistical probability of a hurricane hitting your project.
Set this in your calendar for your current project and then update when hurricanes actually happen.
Hardly a contingency in Hereford Herefordshire or Hamshire as My fair Lady would have it.
Best regards
Mike Testro.
