Things should only get better for planners who work in the UK. I mean, all the work from the olympic village, massive defence projects and £72+ billion of nuclear decommissioning in the next 30-50 years, theres gonna be enough work to go around a very long time!

OK so the world has gone mad. Did anybody say you shouldnt enjoy it and make a good living out of it? Just make sure youve got a contingency plan in place in case the wheels fall off.

The only thing with big salarys is a big tax bill.
It is going crazy for planners, but to find good ones that is the quest.

Ive just been speaking to a colleague of mine - and he was offered £88k+ to stay (contract). This was at a Nuclear Power Station.
Now thats very tempting....considering its only about 30 miles away.
