This is a common misconception. You can’t create an independent schedule and then assign it as a baseline to another schedule. Even through the two schedules look identical on the outside to you, Primavera clearly sees them as different on the inside and has nothing to match up. The Activity IDs that you see are not the ones that Primavera actually uses to identify the activities.
The only way to make a baseline schedule is to create it using the Make Baseline feature. Good luck!

Are the activity IDs the same? Did you put a check on the Primary baseline under the Project, Baselines window?
Best,

Learning:
I have created a new baseline before updating the current project. Then it worked. Is this correct or while doing trial and error, something happend?

Christian, I do not know what is patched. However, I have tried all options in View>Bar>Bar chart Options.
This is not the problem with Bar Formats. Because, when I tried to make the current as baseline, the dates and bar are appearing.
But when I try to attach other project as baseline to current, the dates/bar disappearing.
