Check your Hour per Time Period settings (i.e. 10/d 50/w etc…), it should match the calendar assigned and also check the Global Default calendar which P6 use for calculating total duration on summary band.

Not actually the error on how to import the P3 file, but rather the adjustment of Project Completion Date after. Imported file does not arrive the same Completion date as calculated in the P3 file...

What is the problem or what the error you’re getting when importing P3 to P6? Is your P3 having WBS define? If not then when running the import wizard and reach to “Update Project Options” click Advance then click Next. Remove all the tick on Project Options and click Finish. That should import your P3 without error.
