Edit activity description text

Try to Filter the Activity you want to Change&Organise the activity to a single Level.Edit the activity Description in First Cell

Select Edit->Fill Down

Global change is the right one. There wont be any problem in doing that. Or else try to export to excell



Tools>Project utilities>Export. Select the required field you want to export and select file type as WK1 or WKS. Complete you all eidit, etc in excell then import back.

Another option is to set up a normal filter showing only those activities you want to change, type in the new description in the top activity, use your mouse to highlight all activities in the filter, right click and select ’fill cell’



You say you’re not able to set up a filter for activity description -why not? what problem are you encountering?

If you want to replace the entire description for a new description, you can use a global change (tools, global change)

It’s a fairly self explanantory process -you basically set up filter and a new description, and it overwrites the decription for all activities that satisfy the filter.



There’s a ’trial run’ option I suggest you use to make sure it works as planned before making the change for real.
