Raj: The software is supposed to move any activities that have not yet started to the data date when you press F9. The theory is, if it hasnt started yet, it shouldnt be showing in the past.
To tell the software an activity has started, check the actual box when you enter the start date.
If you want to change the baseline mid project, open up the target project whilst you do not have your live project open, you should be able to make the changes as normal.
thanx a lot yakub, i know that , but what if i have to change the baseline in the middle of the project.and also i have checked the activities but i dont know the first activity of every new project m creating automatically sets to the current start date and even if i change it to some back date , after pressing F9 it automatically shifts to the current schedule data in the F9 option
You can edit the Target dates only in the Baseline Programme But not in the Updated Schedule where u have assigmned target. Regarding the dates check the links of the activities.
