Did I make a mistake?

You will have to use a 3rd party software to save your MSP project as a MPX file: both Primavera Corp and Sciforma have such an app, I am using the 2nd one

Send me a private message with an email address that will accept an exe or zip attached file, and I will send both apps to you

I tried to save the file as MPX but I did not find MPX in save file as, also I do not know what do you mean by internal tool.

there are plenty of threads about this topic!

1. save your MSP file as a MPX file

2. convert the MPX file to a P3 project by using the internal tool
