Go to your printer settings, set Adobe PDF Printer as your default printer, go to your program, edit whatever you want in page setup. Then close and click the printer icon in the main page.
This should work!

am new on the plannet. Can anybody tell me why primavera takes a longer time to convert the files to Pdf. is this because of RAM of your system or am i the only one facing the problem? plz respond

I use the same software as Ashraf and it works fine. We have Adobe writer available here but it was too much of a faf for direct from P3 printing. No problems printing from preview either.
I do still use Adobe Acrobat to bind different prints together to make a full presentation though.

P3 is 16 bit and cannot handle the long paths used by 32 bit software. Load P3 Service Pack 3 and then go into Acrobat properties and create a new port with a short path e.g C:\P3\OUT.
Then it will work OK, just set the default printer before you start printing.

Funny enough, mine is a Dell lap top to, never had the problem with Toshibas. However, I can you PDF for everything else, Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerProject. It just would not work with P3 when in printing from print preview.

James,
I cant remind but do you have possibility to modify settings and thus graphic print quality, in order to increase it to 1200dpi for example,

I have not had this problem with PDF creator, it works fine for me and I just use it on the default settings (at least I think I do...)

Hi ASHRAF,
I confirm your asumption on PDF creator, it caused me a lot of trouble in the past.
What you should try is to only print the page distorted and to incorporate them in your master pdf file.

Hi Mirna,
I have tried this it works but the fonts are distorted.
That is the reson I am using PDF Creator.

Hi
I just had the same message. Simple reason: It is a new pc and I forgot to install SP2. So I installed SP3 - the recent one - PDF-printout works fine.

Yes, Paul is absolutely right. P3 is an old software running on 16 bit and is no longer compatible with the latest softwares running on 32 bits.
Another solution is to download cute.pdf from the internet and this works perfectly with P3.

Dont use pull down menu i.e. pull down file menu then click print command. Instead, click the print icon only.
Hope this helps.

If you have Acrobat then load SP4 and create a local printer port in Acrobat properties with a short path.
