even i was going to advice the same but then this default works when u want to make a new project( which actually replaces the classis schedule layout) , but when u open existing projects the last saved layout only opens.

I agree with Deb, it normally opens the last layout you saved. The other thing that sometimes happens (like when you copy the schedule or whatever) is that it opens the first layout on your list of layouts.
So if you number your "favorite" layout so it goes to the top of the list, that may also help.

There seems to be programme start up options but that command works for one project only. (See P3 Help for Start up Options).

When you have arranged everything as you like, save it as a new layout. Then click View/Layout/Make Default.
Now onwards every time you open that project, it will open in the layout you made as default.
