Display Activity Code in activity form

Abhijeet

You figured out it was not an issue of field definition within the group and member jobs. It is good, you have the same fields at the group level and at the job level.

It migh be that what happened was that during the files transfer one of the files got lost.

I am glad you solved the issue and did go to the extra step of verifying on both schedules.

Best regards,

Rafael

It is not about number of activity codes. And yes, I have a sub-project from a master project. But the problem seems to be something else. The activity form was not displaying all the activity codes I have in my schedule. Today I got another update from my client and now I can see the activity codes, I tried it on the other scheudle which did not show it before and now it does. It seems like a weired compatibility issue with Vista Operating System.

SureTrak has a limit of 20 activity codes but there is another limitation when working in project groups.

If your project is defined as belonging to a project group then you cannot add activity codes to a member project. This other limitation is to which I am referring to. If you open the project group you will be able to create activity codes and values, if you only open a member project you will only be able to add values but no new activity codes.

In SureTrak if I define 20 activity codes they do show and I understood Abhijeet issue as that in P3 they should also.

If Abhijeet is accessing a member project and not the group because of access rights he will not be able to add activity codes. Maybe the job was later included as a member of a project group and this might have some implications regarding available activity codes.

I believe APEX is a sample Project Group available also in P3, if you have it open AUTO but not APEX and try adding activity codes, then try opening APEX, the project group, you will be able to add activity codes.

Maybe P3 has the same limitation as Suretrak when working with project groups.

You can define activity codes for any kind of project except a member of a project group, which inherits its activity codes from the project group.

If you are working in a stand-alone project, you can define and delete activity codes as well as values for those codes. If you are working in a member project, you can add and modify values for existing activity codes, but you cannot add or delete codes.
