Hi Frank,

Try go to "View>Resource_profile" for screenshot, u also can print it. On second thought by using report writer u can create your own reporting summary.

In P3 be carefull of using activity summarization for determining % complete.

I suggest you use a Resource Control Summary report from Tools/Tabular Reports/Resource/Control. Make a selection for the same group of activities you would like to summarize.

I suggest you run this report and compare the numbers to numbers from a summary bar to check for correctness.

In P3 go to Tools>Options>Summarization...

There you can select how you want P3 to summarise the % complete for your activities.

You can choose from duration, resource units or cost.

With a fully resource loaded schedule I recomend resource units for construction progress and cost for overall design, procurement and construction progress.

Enter your % complete at an activity level acording to physical progress. Physical progress is not simply a units completed / total units calculation. For example you may be building a simple building consisting of 4 brick walls. Bricking up the corners takes considerably more time than the in-fill brickwork. Another example is structural steel erection, by just using a quantity method (eg tonnes of steel) erecting one large column will earn you a disproportional amount of progress compared to the infill steel. Factors like this need to be considered when defining your activity breakdown and progress.

Reports can be generated in P3 using the resource/cost profile.
