Total float computation will be different for progress override and retained logic. Both will be correct, depending on your perspective.
The problem here is that you can only set one option to apply to ALL activities. It would have been nicer to apply different options to different activities.
So, with the current state of things, you need to decide which one to use. Retained logic gives you a more conservative projection of how things are going to be. So if you want to be on the safer side, user retained logic.
