Remi,

to show the ful content of "Notes" on the Gantt chart, do not push the Enter key when you key in the text, and keep the text under 500 signs

Hi Alex,

Thanks for your answer, unfortunately I'm afraid it's a dramatic situation and they've all completely vanished. I had to type them all again as I didn't have a back-up file (for once :( ...) but no big deal there were not that many.

I've tried with notes but when I show them next to the Gantt bars, only the first few caracters are shown, not the full text, is there a way to show the full text typed in the "notes" section?

Remi,

terrible situation, isn't it? are you sure the text boxes actually disappeared, or are they only hidden? can you check by moving the mouse accross the screen?

if the boxes really disappeared, I am afraid there is nothing else to do than using your backup file, if any

may I suggest that you use the Notes field in the Task Information dialog instead of text boxes?
