You are having multiple level problems. Everyone using that file must be on the same software level to be successful. That said MSP 2010 has the ability to send the current file to someone. Try going to File --> Save & Send --> Send as an Attachment. This will take the current open file and send it as an attachment in a email. I would probably click save before I would do this.
If the person receiving the file does not have 2010, they will be converting the file to 2007 when they read it. Do not take the file back. Converting up and down will eventually corrupt the file and it will become unusable.
