You dont need the actual printer, just the driver. Or print to PDF. Then you can print to ISO A0 sheet which is big enough for anything. Then you will see how many columns you are trying to print. Your problem could arise from some error in your project file

First, make sure you have selected the correct printer if you have various printers to choose from.
Use File, Print then select the printer then click on preview.
Try using File, Page Setup before you try to File, Print Preview. Thats where you can fix it.
Check the View tab and make sure you have not told MSP to print too many columns.
Reduce the margins to small but not too small (1 cm).
Then Print Preview.
etc etc I think you know the rest.
