Pranab,

it may be easier to do in P3:

1. Define the WBS structure of your project in P3

2. Make sure you define the upper level to represent the whole project and one level for each outline level in MS Project

3. Apply the WBS to the activities in P3

4. Remove all the Topic activities in P3 (run a filter saying Activty type EQ Topic to display these activities only)

Hope this helps

Pranab,

P3 regards MSP summary activities as "Topic activities".

Quote

It is recommended that you remove all Topic Activities by promoting ALL activities to Outline Level 1 and deleting redudant Parent Activities. You will need to check that all logic is at the lowest Outline Level before promoting activities

Hi Deb,

By Data Date I’m assuming you mean Status Date (the last date the project was updated).

Project > Project Information

You can also set the Project Start / Finish Dates and Current Date this way.

To set the project baseline.

Tools > Tracking > Save Baseline

Regards,

Darren
