Helo sylvia,

Try this it could help:

To bring MS Project 2000 data directly into P3 perform the following:

1. From within P3, select Tools, Project Utilities, Export

2. Under the Content section, export the data that you would like to bring into P3 from MS Project.

Example: If you want to populate Activity ID, Original Duration, and Remaining Duration with data from MS Project, select Activity ID, Original Duration, and Remaining Duration as your export content.

3. Under the Format section, select WK1 or DBase as the file type to be created by Exporting.

4. From within MS Project 2000, save the project as an Excel Workbook.

5. Open the MS Project Excel Workbook, and the export file created by P3, in Excel.

6. Using copy and paste, populate the fields under each appropriate column in the P3 export file, with the data from the MS Project Excel Workbook.

7. Save the export file (be sure to keep it in WK1 or DBase format). You will now use it as the import file to bring the data into P3.

8. From within P3, select Tools, Project Utilities, Import.

9. When prompted, enter the path and file for the updated P3 export file, and click Run.

Bonne chance

Hi,

Yes well spotted, and it is even worse because they upgraded to MSP2002...

I think even with the link it will still not help as the original post started by saying no access to MSP98. Hence the poster has no access to create the MPX in the first place never mind convert it thereafter.

I looked on Paul Harris site - can’t find the paper....

If you can send me the exact link and/or the msp applet I would appreciate it very much.

Hi,

Thanks, but it DOES NOT work - here why...

Bluewater Project Management Services, LLC no longer sells or supports the MPX Translator or Project Partner products

So the question still remain - how can I get out of this dilema?

cheers
