Strange isnt it that MSP2003 does not count the same way as MSP2k

What MSP2003 exactly are you using (help, About MSProject)?
It looks like a scheduling engine difference between both MSPs; the fact that the project back in MSP2k still is 2 month longer than before opening it in MSP2003 simply means that you opened and saved the file with MSP2003.
Do you have a backup file in the 2K format?
You should print the 1st task report ("not started tasks"? as I translate from the title in French) and the whodoeswhat report in both MSPs and compare task by task.
