Usually the general conditions of contract are custom tailered per the Contract needs. You need to object to it and get it cancelled, if you are certain that it does not make sense.

To protect Clients interests:
- Cost of additional plant due to poor workmanship (non-compliance of obligations)
- Cost to cover extension of performace guarantee if part(s) of the works cannot be used for its inteded purpose
- Remedial works to adjacent properties
