Reading the postings, it would seem that in France access to Demo copies is much more advantageous than in the UK. I would say that this is perfectly acceptable, as the copies are not illegal versions.
Its seems very much like the vendor prices to different national environments. It seems no different than UK residents buying cars in Europe and then shipping back to the UK.

Tough question.
If someone post a reply showing how / where to get hold of a cheap version - does that put us in a difficult position?
