I must not be very bright because I do not understand. David is complaining because everyone else is too easy to take offense when he offers his unsolicited, blunt, and non-constructive opinions about the knowledge or worthiness of other people’s statements and WE should worry about how sensitive David is?
David did not understand why I edited his prose even after I told him why (and tried to let the offended person know that David’s statement was indeed offensive.) Now we are supposed to hope that with less information, that the offender will understand better and self-correct his behavior? I am afraid that I still don’t understand.

David is pretty touchy whenever he perceives any criticism of PowerProject. I’ll bet you he thinks I am the one who edited his post.
At the same time, I can understand his offense to the commentary on his post. Perhaps it would be better to just interject a simple [edited by moderator]?

I’m not saying that David is justifed in being offended that his post was edited. I’m not concerned about that either.
However, IMO, the general public does not need to know why a post was edited.
The author or anyone else can always contact the PP Team if they have a question or complaint. Best to keep that private IMO.
