Hi there,

We had a rude reply from his email address. He also posted several rude posts today. We have removed his account.

For your information, we think (but are not 100% sure) that he operates under ID 6511 M Razif M Rohaini

Sorry it took so long.

Mark,

Yes this both sensible and is also easy to do. I will action it tonight. Bytheway, we have had no replies from his email address.

Your suggestion will also force the user to use a verifiable email address. In 0.5% of cases we get an incorrect or "made-up" one which we have to chase-down and correct.

Regards.

Real names must be the preference. I would not take too much offence to "Speedy Shagger", but does it cross a threshhold ? Where is the line ? Is "Stupid Twat" ok ?

Suggest we make a move on this NOW, before it becomes a problem.

On registering, on other sites they send an email with a link to be followed to "activate" your account. James, easdy to do for you ?

I agree with Bernard that we should encourage all to use Real names. If a thing is worth saying then one should be prepared to be identified. Use of nicknames, etc on a regular basis may only serve to devalue the real benefits of Planning Planet.

Not too sure how we would work a "being invited to join". I notice that as membership continues to grow we still are having people finding out about Planning Planet, who wouldn’t know someone to recommend them. I have mentioned Planning Planet at some meetings I have been to and for some people it is the 1st they have heard of Planning Planet. It is then pleasing to see that some of them find the site valuable and useful. Certainly an area that careful thought is needed in.

We have been watching his posts. He is based in Malaysia and his name (appears) to be Razif. We have sent him a couple of messages and will feedback if we get a response.

There is a real need for us to amend the sign-up routine in order to validate a member in some way. Some suggestions have been that we have to be invited to join the site by someone. Have not thought this through yet.

Regards.
