Its a shame that you couldnt have got your post on the original thread, it would have been interesting to see how Bill would have responded to it. Probably by jumping up and down and frothing at the mouth, something he seemed to be doing quite a lot of already.
Having read the thread I can see why it was closed, Bill was becoming personally insulting and generally unpleasant because his rant was being refuted with facts and logic. It might have been better if the moderators had merely removed the offensive portions of his posts and allowed the discussion to continue, as I found it rather interesting and informative.
I can understand as well why Clive confused Bill with Charlie, as they share at least three remarkable traits in common.
1 - Neither of them appears to read the whole of the post that they respond to;
2 - They both have a remarkable capacity for self delusion (they think/say it so it must be right);
3 - They both take it personally when they are proved wrong and respond with insults and petty nastiness;
