Jarvis Rail: P3e Planner
I started working for Jarvis Rail on the West Coast Mainline Renewals as a Planning Assistant, the role then quickly developed into a P3 Planners position by November 2003. During my employment I have completed P3 601, 603 & 60234 Courses as well as P3e Project Management Module Advanced 106 Course & P6 Advanced Courses 106P (Project Management), 106R (Resource Management), 106A (Administration).
I was working on the West Coast Mainline Renewals using P3, after I began working on the Rugby Station Remodelling Project from start to finish using P5 & P6.
In my role I had complete and sole responsibility for the P3 & P5/P6 programs. This involved creating & maintaining Resource & Cost loaded projects, creating baseline plans to monitor current progress, using EVA Management Technique, working on Critical Path. Programming and cancelling core jobs, progressing weekend & midweek work, re-planning shortfalls and scheduling. I produced Stats Report as an export from P3/P5/P6 to an excel document, as well as the twelve-week lookahead to give managers and the client visibility of future work. I forecast figures and produce reports directly from P3/P5/P6 as required by the managers e.g. resource allocation, quantity achieved, quantity planned for the future etc. I was responsible for uploading the P3 program to Apollo Database. Exporting P3/P5/P6 data to excel and creating the Planning Sheet. I produced Period Actual Report of core work planned versus core work completed. Attend planning & progress meeting. Liaised with depots for progress to update P3/P5/P6, created and maintained the change notice database. I carried out daily and weekly backup of the P3/P5/P6 programs. As well as worked from the Box Plan, Tech Coords, CWR and RRT plans to program in any relevant jobs.
