• Earthworks and Pavements: Create, develop and maintain Zones 2 and 3 WBS and schedule, using progressive elaboration approach.
• Tunnels M & E Schedulers role: project management asked me to validate the M & E subcontractor’s programme after doubt in achieving the clients agreed end date was expressed. This involved working from the subcontractors MS Project programme, developing a more detailed breakdown of civil, construction and commissioning works, then establishing real physical activity level sequencing, and critical path, along with allocating resources and reporting on progress against plan on this programme. Site visits were critical to corroborate the bi-weekly update meetings, as was a positive and firm communication approach to facilitate these meetings which had, in the past, broken down due to subcontractor and alliance staff conflicts.
• Validate, interrogate and drive schedule.
• Working with contractors and site teams covering earthworks, network drainage, pavements, signage, tolling, kerbing, barriers, lighting, etc, to final finishing as to client specifications.
• Given summary level Tunnels M & E programme to flesh out and validate. Worked with sub-alliance partner (United) to achieve programme integrity,
• Exposure to tunnel and superstructure programming.
• Experience with tight schedule and minimum float.
• Site inspections and subcontractor progress checks, to ensure programme integrity with practice methodologies and physical progress.
• Ensure activity durations are based on current resources, and aligned with forecast cost to complete production rates.
• Constant communication with management and field staff from all Alliance partners (Fulton Hogan, Leighton Contractors, URS, Tonkin and Taylor, Boffa Miskell, VSL, United) considering all relevant information to ensure works programme integrity.
• Weekly and monthly reports to Project Director, including earned value reporting.
• Progress reports, what-if scenarios, resource profile histograms and leveling, critical path analysis and reporting to client as required.
• Facilitating weekly schedule update meeting with engineers to update the master programme then validate critical path and resourcing for the forthcoming period, with a view to maximizing float.
• Use MyPrimavera for management monthly report inputs, along with earned value and CPI reporting.
• Create process documentation as required.
