Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

Problem in updating Progress for Unit %

Dear all,
I have created a project and assigned labor units as resource.
Duration type of the project is Fixed Duration and units
While updating the progress I have selected unit% for progress updating (as we can see the summarized progress at Level-1 on Unit % complete only).
Now, during updating I have observed that actual unit gets updated only first time of update.
e.g: Suppose activity A is having 200 Labor units. During first update of Unit% I have updated the progress as 50% then actual units are coming 100 but when I am again updating the progress to 60% actual units remains unchanged while Remaining and At completion units are changing. This leads to incorrect overall progress calculation (At Level-1).
Kindly help me and suggest solution.

For your way of reporting progress the percent complete type must be set to "physical". If it is set to "Units" or "Duration" it will be calculated based on actual and remaining. Only the first time (per activity) a manual entry of percent complete is used to calculate remainig - units or duration.
