Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Is it possible to change the financial periods once I have stored the actual data? What are my options?

Thanks Niek - there are several ways of doing this. In my case its too much effort. I think I will have to live with November being 1 week to long and December 1 week to short.

You’ll need to rebuild the entire structure all the way back, I’m afraid.

I don’t find the financial period mechanism particularly strong to be honest, because it takes static snapshots of the periods you define. If the periods change or a baseline changes with LOE activities, you’ll end up with very strange numbers - like negative EV period performance. This is also due to the fact that period performance is calculated as the difference between two periodical cumulative values.

H.T.H.
