Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Dear All Planners,

I am a beginner in Planning using P3 and i am starting to input the my first few activites in my programme. I noticed that the activity description field can accommodate about 47 characters although the coulmn width can be adjusted to your preference.

Is there any way to increase the characters i can input in the field or any "wrap text" function just like in excel. Or any way to resolve my longer activities.

I hope anybody can help,

Thanks

Hello all great planners,

It’s been sometime since i went away and studied this thing we called primavera project planner to a deeper level.

This primavera is indeed a powerful tool yet there is a long way for me to easily maneuver skillfully with this so i can put my most project control with it.

I thank you all guys for all your kind replies.

Cheers,
james

Hi James!!
In my P3 Version 3.0, I am not able to write more than 48 Characters. So, I Thnik for that version 48 characters is the limit.

Better to describe activity in a manner which can be easily understood by each one easily . I think not consisting of more than 50 characters

My suggestion is: as much as possible write the most precise description of your activity. Simple description which everybody can understand is the best. Try it!

The activity description length is limited.

You can add upto 99 log texts to each activity and then display them either left or right of the activity bar. It just gets messy.
