Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

When scheduling my latest programme once the task dates reach end of August 2005 they jump straight to September 2006.

The global and other project calenders do not show any problems but when trying to apply a constraint to the activity to force it to continue with Sept 2005 it shows all the dates after end August 2004 as greyed out (i.e. non-working).

Any ideas as to how I can correct this???

Have you assigned any resource to this activity or these activities? Check the availability of the assigned resources in resource dictionary.

Hi,

Constraining an activity is Conditioned..it is not just constrain whatever..

Contraining Can’t be more or less than the early & Late dates that have been calculated by CPM.

ex.If you want constrain Late Finish date..you can but the constrain and it will work If and Only If the constrain date is Less than the Late Finish date(CPM calculation).If the Constrain date is More than the Late finish date,the constrain will not work..and it will take the Original Late Finish date Instead..and so on with other constrains.

check out the constraint dates links..may be this is the problm..
