Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

When importing new activities into P6 from excel I can’t assign resource units to an activity. What am I doing wrong. I’ve looked and can’t fine a field to export.

MOST EASIEST bts Come on kids, it is easy to use, easy to install, we do not need a P6 forum. Vaughn, Perhaps you have no resources defined, in such case you have to import resource definitions before importing resource assignments; otherwise the software might ignore undefined assignments. Sorry this is all I can say as we long ago abandoned use of P3e, the original P6 version. Best regards, Rafael

As far as I can see you are doing nothing wrong - as soon as I can download and install the P6 software - no success after 8 days effort - then I may be able to give you better advice.
