Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi William,

Unfortunately NO. The only way to show is by restoring your baseline and open as project and do the same thing but as comparison. If you need to show both I suggest to export it in Excel and play around with it to produce a meaningful S-Curve. Should you require assistance of how to do it, let me know.

Regards,
Rodel

Hi Jamie,

U need to make a tabular report in order to export it to excel file.

1- Click on "Reports" --> scroll till report group: resource- tabular, then click on "Add" from the right bar, click on "Next" then select "Time Distributed Data" and select "Activity Resource and role assignments" then Next.
2- A window appears, click on "Next", then "Next".
3- In the "Configure Selected Subject Area" click on "Columns", and select the columns that u want to show in your report then click on "OK".
4- Back to the "Configure Selected Subject Area" click on "Group & Sort" and organize the report the way u want then click on "OK".
5- Again to the "Configure Selected Subject Area" click on "Filter" and select the "Parameter" that u want to filter the results to (in your case the parameter is the Resource ID name equal to "your resource name") then "OK".
6- In the "Date Options" window, click on "timescale" and select the timeline start & finish and also the date interval (in your case the date interval is Week)then "OK".
7- Click on the "Time Interval Fields", another window appears under "Available Options" dbl click on the criteria that u want to distribute (in your case the remaining units) noting that u can distribute the quantities Cumulatively or Time Interval (week on our case) then click on "OK" then next.
8- Next and name your report then another next.
9- On the "Report Generated" window click on "Run Report" then select the "ASCII text file" and browse the location of the output file then click on "OK".
10- An excel file is generated with extension ".csv", u now can separate the data and generate your "colorful" histogram and S-Curve.

Regards,
Karim

Pre,

Good day! In addition to this topic, i would like to export the early and late resource loading by week to excel file to produce a "colorful" histogram and S-Curve.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Salamat!

Mm Don,

You can use Tracking or Activities module.
Let say you use Tracking module: Select Enterprise-> Tracking on your project menu or click Tracking icon of project directory located at left side of your P3e or P5 program.
1) Select View-> Hide Top Window (hide the top window)
2) On Right Panel window right click your mouse and select Profile Settings…
3) Click Unit or Cost (select any as your basis of curve)
4) Un-tick all tick box under By Date
5) Un-tick tick box Budgeted and Actual then tick Remaining Early and Remaining Late under Cumulative
6) Remove tick in all tick boxes under Additional Data Option and click Apply then Ok
7) On left lower panel window (Resources panel) right click and select Filter by-> Current Project’s Resources
8) Right click again and select Group and Sort By-> Customise
9) On Group by column select “Resources Type” then tick Show Summaries Only and Show Grand Total then click Apply then Ok.
10) If you have materials resources select labor type only otherwise select Total.
You should be able to view the Early and Late S-Curve.

Rodel
