Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi all,

In P3.1 we go to menu bar> window and know what are the projects those are currently open.

What is the procedure in e&c please.

Regards, Amar

Amar I understand what you are asking - Primavera Enterprise doesn’t do that.

Word and Excel are not the same kind of application - they have single, essentially unrelated files, unlike Primavera which has a central database.

Mario,

For example, in MS Word or Excel, When we open one by one file, say File 1, File2 and File 3, in Menubar>>Window we can see all the opened projects. Also when we open File 2, File 1 is not closed.

Amar, that’s how it works, not sure that I understand what the problem you are trying to resolve is? There is a list of the last three project groups opened under the File menu (just like in most Windows apps).

If what you mean is you want to open a new project to add to the existing open one then you have to reselect the one that is already open (use the control key).

Steven,

Not exactly.

First, I open the first project say 001
Then I open the second project say 002
Then I open the third project say 003

When I open the second project, the first one is automatically clsoed

Similarly, when I open the third one, the second one is automatically closed.

Friends,

All the above are working fine when I select more than one project. That is when I open multiple projects at a time holding control key.

But When I open one by one project the same is not working.

Amar, the only time you may not be able to see the project names on the window header will be if the project names are very long. Then you get a name (or two) followed by . . . . .

However you should be able to see all activities for all open projects in the activities view - assuming you have no filters limiting to a single project - try switching to Classic WBS Layout, you will see the projects and activities on the left. If you "collapse all" you will see the open projects listed vertically.

Alternatively look at the EPS and see which projects are open.

Amar,

Opened projects are listed in your title bar at the top of the screen as such. (Primavera: 001, 002, 003 (Project 001 Title, Project 002 Title, Project 003 Title).

Regards,
Bill

Steve, I am sorry to ask again.

I have opened three files/projects. Say 001, 002 and 003

When I click, Projects>>Activities, Activities will be visible for 002.

In this stage, how will I know whether 001 and 003 are open.

They are not visible on the top of the window in my case.
