Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi,

I want to arrange the ’settings’ so that when activties are updated for % completion, the actuals for the resources and the RD is automatically calculated. And is it possible that for some activties in the same schedule I could unlink the % completion from the resources actual and RD.

Any help would be highly appreciated

Regards
Rashid

To recalculate actual units and costs when % compl changes, there is a project level option to set this. Go to the project’s screen, select your project, and choose calculations tab on the bottom form.

There is also a % compl type setting for each activity. For activities where you want the percent complete to be independent of durations, units, and costs, choose "physical". This can be set either in columns or on the activity form -- general tab. When you show Activity % as a column, it will display the appropriate percent complete.

Regards,
Bill
