Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Greetings to all:

Just made the conversion to the latest Primavera Version 5. I was previously using P3e/c (3.5). I was wondering if anybody has tried to import 3.5 xer files into Version 5. From what I hear, going from 4.0 to 5.0 is not a problem. However, so far I have been unsuccessful making the conversion from 3.5. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Hi Christopher

You will need to convert the .xer files to v4.n before converting to 5.0. Presumably these are archive files that you want to reinstall, in which case you may be best served by installing 4.n somewhere to perform a step upgrade, or by contacting your Primavera PAR.
