Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Friends!

I am monitoring progress based on “Duration”. I want to draw a set of S curves in X-cel (Early and Late) for the planned progress % comp based on duration.

To get early planned % comp > I use Automatic update (Control F9) run the progress on weekly basis (repeatedly). The program activities are run on all early dates and summarization based on duration gives me overall planned % comp.

Coming to the exact querry. . Is there any way to get planned Late % comp. Like any option which makes Automatic update to start all the activities on their late dates, so that I can have planned Late % comp. !!

Thanx

Follow Erik’s advice; it would be easier to introduce a dummy resource to accomplish your task.

Hi Muhammad,

The only way to do this would be to create a duration resource.

The easiest way would be to add a resource called time and set the budget quantity equal to the original duration.

You would then be able to do an s-curve.

Regards,

Erik

What I understand is that in Tools > Tabular or graphical reports, all reports are based on either cost or quantity.

Assume that my schedule is not cost or resource (Qty) loaded. I can not use any tabluar or graphical report!! My schedule contains only activities and I want to develop Early and Late S curves for the planned % comp.

My progress measurment will only be based on Tools > Options > Summarization > Duration.

May be I was unable to explain my querry properly.

The Easy Way is to export the summary the report I found the easiast is Tools / Tabluar Report / Tabular / RT1.

You modify this report (Or copy) Then you Export You Can Select Which Dates you want to export on this (Timescale)

Hope this help

Well, as long as I am able to get the data (could be a column inside the P3 schedule) I can export it to Xcel. My objective is to get % late comp for each activity that can be summarized to an overall % comp. . . .

Do you want to show the percentage in a Column on the schedule or on the S-Curve
