Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

In my schedule, the % Complete weighting is based on Cost(Tools>Option>Summarisation) and when I run the schedule it shows 50% Complete. But when I read the Scheduling Report produced in Primavera Look, it showed 48.9% complete.

Interesting, if I change the % Complete weighting to Duration, my schedule shows 49% which tallies with Primavera Look Report’s 48.9%.

How can I get the Scheduling Report generated in Primavera Look to also calculate & display % Complete based on Cost like my schedule?

Thanks Dgd.........I just ran a detailed Cost Report from Tools>Tabular Reports>Cost>Control and it painted the picture I wanted to see.......

And to Harris...I’ve been using your P3 book since december and I’ve found it invaluable......thanks.

Thanks the replies but my question is all about the Schedule Command Report.

I’d like the Schedule Command Report % Complete to be same with the Project % Complete displayed on the % column when % complete weighting is based on cost and not duration.

For now, I’m disregarding it like Dgd suggested but I’m a bit curious about this.

The help file states that the Schedule report is summarized using the options selected in Tools, Schedule, Options, Summarization, so in theory you are doing the correct thing.

I have found in the past to make one report run correctly I had to recalculate twice! I do not recall which.

You may wish to take this issue up with Primavera technical support, but I feel you are doing the correct thing.

You may wish to create a new schedule with say two or three activities, where it would be simple to calculate the results by manually, and check if the report still runs incorrectly.
