(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?
(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.
I have create a new project on 18th Aug with start date as 01st Aug. But, while creating the activities the start date by default is getting picked as 18th aug which is the data date. I want project start date (01st Aug) as the default start date for all activities. Could anybody guide me on how to achieve it?.

highlight you project
in the dates tab
set the start date and data date to august 1, 2016

Schedule the project and pick a data date which is the default early start date
