Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

I loaded my schedule with Budget Quantities and created histograms. The BQ spread linearly as expected since the ’Drive activity dates by default’ setting on resource assignment option was selected. But I want to add labor resource (other material resource also) and the budget quantities are not spreading over the duration of activity. I have checked on my other computer, it is working. I exported in xls and for the new resource the original duration for it is zero. What must go wrong? is it SDK or a bug in P6. Any help in this regard would be highly appreciated.

Default Unit/Time under Resource was zero. I changed it to 1 and now it is ok.

Hi Kaide,

If I understood you correctly, go to project details --> calculations tab, try to play with "Reset Original Duration and Units to Remaining" or "Reset Remaining Duration and Units to Original". I am not sure, just try this.

Otherwise, try to check your Defaults Units/Time in Resources Window, it should not be blank or Zero. There should be a value (e.g. 8 or any value).
