(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?
(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.
I am a new user in primavera p6, please can some one to show me how to display on the gant chart the resources assigned for each activity beside the bar.

that is incorrect you do not need to make a udf
just go to the bars and select current bar labels
then click on the bar lables tab
then select add
then in the position select right
clikc in the label area look in the drop down and select budget labor units for rmanhours or budget labor cost or whatever you want to show there

Copy the Resources into a UDF then use it as Bar Label.
