Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi;

I have resources set up within my project.

Project Manager, Engineer etc.

Project manager has an 8hr day, Engineer has a 4hr day.

In my stacked histogram it shows that both are overloaded as follows.........

Project Manager requires 16hrs per day

Engineer requires 24hrs per day.

Its obvious to see that i will require 2 project managers, and 6 engineers per day, but is there a way of having the P6 histogram tell me how many people i would require, rather than tell me how many hours i am over budget?

Lee,

With thre resource usage profile open right click in the graph area,

Select: Resource Profile Usage Options

once the dialog box opens select the graph tab

once on the graph tab, under additional display option, click the box near the botton labeled calculate average.

under divide intervals by click the box labeled: base on hours per time period.

This should show you how many people per time period it will require.

Hope this Helps,

Tyler
