Project Controls Lead for Eastern Cape Infrastructure Joint Venture (ECI JV), providing EPCM services to Transnet Capital Projects while carrying out various capital projects within the Port of Ngqura, Port of Port Elizabeth and Port of East London.
Multi-billion dollar project to build two new iron ore mines in Guinea, plus associated rail and port infrastructure.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Senior Planner within a 5-strong team acting on behalf of the client during the tender phase. My main focus of work was on the rail element of works (approx 670km single track, including approx 30km of tunnels)
Over the years i have worked in a variety of industries including: Water, O&G, Pharmaceutical, Airports and Rail. And also a number of roles including design-planning, client-planning, PMO, site-planning & planning manager. I have lead a number of process improvement and change management initiatives and enjoy training & mentoring junior planners. Have a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brunel University, and also experience of project accounting, tender reviews, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma. Very much a Jack of All Trades and Master of None!
