Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi All,

I have experience in the Defence Sector only however the Program I currently work on is of an engineering discipline (Radars for Air Traffic). How difficult is it to get into other field e.g Construction/O&G/Claims etc.

Looking at jobs advertised it appears that I wouldn’t even get put forward junior role.

Thanks in advance

Martin

Dear Martin,

You will need to develop your experience towards satisfying the needs of the Construction industry. The best start would be to read the Construction magazine and start formulating a plan.

If you have the experience, then you will need to support it with recent professional certification. You can work on that as well. In few months, you will be able to determine what position you want to seek.

After all, the critical path method was initiated in your sector of industry.

Good luck,

Samer
