Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi Friends,

Is there any way around to have Physical Percent Complete Roll up at the top, the same way of Performance Percent Complete?

Regards to All

Hi Arun,

In my opinion, the performance % complete is used in computing the earned value by multiplying to BAC. Perfomance % complete is calculated in different ways depending on the nature of work and this will be set-up and agreed by both parties(client and contractor) during the preliminary stage of the project, to be used in evaluating the progress of work. This can be equal also to physical % complete if you have chosen as an activity % complete type in calculating it. While the physical % complete is just the %age of work done physically.

Hope this will clear your question.

Regards,

Jash

Hi Riad,

Physical % complete can't be rolled up as it is inputed manually to individual activities or by assigning steps in calculating it.

Performance % complete can be rolled up by assigning cost to each activities as this is related to cost in computing your earned value and this will be computed based on the assigned activity % complete type.
