Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Well my issue is this, I need to Compress my entire schedule into a shorter time frame. We need to keep the Same finish date but push my start date back nearly 6 months. is there any quick way i can accomplish this.

You can do a global change but as Rashid said, this is NOT the right way to do this. Yo uneed to keep stepping back through the critical path (which may change frequently during this exercise) to see if there’s some bad logic, etc. Make sure there are no resources driving the scheudle out, etc.

Without looking at the schedule, it’s difficult to tell you how to handle it. good Luck!

Yeah I can tell you that run a global change and reduce the durations of all the activties by 30% or whatever....but you know this is not the correct way of doing the things...

It looks like a case of major replanning...so start all over again. Thanks.
